Steven Dimian has been an attorney focusing on automobile and personal injury cases his entire career, successfully representing thousands of personal accident victims.

 

A life-long resident of New Jersey, Steven graduated Seton Hall University School of Law, where he received a Juris Doctor Degree. Following law school, Mr. Dimian served as a judicial law clerk in the New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division, Hudson County with the Honorable Judge Joseph Charles, J.S.C., before joining Anise & Anise Attorneys at Law.

 

In 2006 he formed his own law firm, Steven B. Dimian Attorney at Law. He later teamed with Patrick Masterpalo to form Dimian & Masterpalo Attorneys At Law with the goal of merging their backgrounds and expertise to be able to offer the very best legal services to the injured victims of auto and slip and fall accidents.

 

Mr. Dimian is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Dimian is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Kevin is a seasoned attorney with over 30 years of experience, specializing in both defense and plaintiff’s general liability cases. He earned his BA from Bucknell University and his JD from Seton Hall Law School. Admitted to the New Jersey bar in 1992, Kevin began his career defending major car manufacturers such as General Motors, Nissan, and Toyota in product liability cases. He then shifted to defending commercial property owners, including condo associations, apartment buildings, and strip malls, followed by representing Allstate in auto negligence and Special Investigative Unit (SIU) cases.

 

After working in-house for Greater New York Insurance, where he represented large commercial property owners against slip and fall claims, Kevin spent time working with McDonald’s franchisees and trucking companies. He also represented NJM in general liability defense for auto claims.

 

Transitioning to plaintiff-side representation, Kevin worked for several years at a plaintiff’s general liability firm, handling auto accidents, fall downs, and municipal court matters. He continued his career at high-volume plaintiff firms in Red Bank and Perth Amboy before joining Diamian & Masterpalo.

 

With extensive experience on both sides of the table, Kevin brings a unique perspective to plaintiff’s cases. His deep understanding of insurance company strategies allows him to guide cases in the most effective direction, always with the goal of achieving the best results for his clients. Having tried numerous cases to verdict, Kevin is committed to meeting and exceeding his clients’ expectations.

James “Jay” Ricciardi brings sixteen years of litigation experience to the firm.  Upon obtaining his Juris Doctor from Widener School of Law, he served as a law clerk to the Hon. Daniel M. Waldman, J.S.C. (Ret.) in the civil division of the Monmouth County Superior Court, through which he gained intimate knowledge of New Jersey practice and procedure. 

 

He spent the past sixteen years with a mid-size regional law firm, where he was a Partner and Co-Leader of the firm’s Insurance Defense Practice Group, handling all aspects of insurance defense, including against claims of premises liability, negligent snow/ice removal, negligent security, products liability, cargo claims, professional liability and dram shop claims.  However, he largely focused his practice on defending trucking companies against bodily injury claims arising out of motor vehicle accidents.

James’ is a well-regarded litigator, who is licensed to practice law, and has extensive experience, in New Jersey and Pennsylvania State and Federal Courts.  His extensive insurance defense experience is a tremendous asset to the firm, allowing us to better evaluate our Clients’ claims, serve their needs, and develop successful strategies in our advocacy of their rights.  

Patrick Masterpalo co-founder of Dimian & Masterpalo Attorneys at Law teamed up with Partner Steven Dimian, based on their shared goal: to fight for the rights of those injured in auto and slip and fall accidents.

A life-long resident of New Jersey, Mr. Masterpalo graduated Widener Law School where he received his Juris Doctor Degree.

 

He began his career as a criminal defense attorney with Brooke, Barnett & Associates, appearing before Federal and Superior Courts in Monmouth, Ocean, Hudson, Essex, Somerset, Bergen, Passaic and Union Counties. He then joined the law firm of Anise & Anise where he concentrated on personal injury law, handling thousands of cases and finding his passion in representing accident victims. While with Anise & Anise, he was instrumental in winning numerous cases, among them a $1.4 million personal injury case.

 

Mr. Masterpalo is licensed to practice law in New Jersey as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Masterpalo is also a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association, Ocean County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
